Privacy & cookies
This policy covers the CFG Design website and Dawnarc. The website uses hosting and security services; the app stores its preferences on your device. Neither includes advertising or visitor analytics.
CFG Design is operated by Carl F. Grössel in Switzerland. Controller identity and postal contact are on the Legal page. For any privacy request, contact support.
The website
There are no accounts, contact forms, advertising trackers, embedded social feeds, or analytics tools on this website. Fonts and images are served with the site rather than requested from external font or social services.
Hosting and security
The website is hosted using OpenAI Sites with Cloudflare infrastructure. To deliver pages and protect the service, hosting and security providers process connection information such as your IP address, browser information, requested URL, and request time. CFG Design does not maintain a separate visitor-analytics database or sell this information.
These providers use international infrastructure, including processing in the United States. Provider-controlled logs, retention, and transfers are governed by their applicable service terms and privacy notices: OpenAI privacy policy and Cloudflare privacy policy. We do not promise a fixed deletion period for logs outside our control.
Cookies and browser storage
Cloudflare may set the __cf_bm security cookie to distinguish legitimate traffic from automated abuse. It is not an advertising cookie. Cloudflare states that it expires after 30 minutes of continuous inactivity and is not used to track users across websites. See Cloudflare's cookie information.
When you explicitly choose light or dark mode, the website saves cfg-design-theme in your browser's local storage. It contains only “light” or “dark”, is not sent to CFG Design, and remains until you reset it or clear this site's browser data. Without a saved choice, the site follows your device appearance.
We use no advertising or analytics cookies. There is no optional tracking to accept. You can manage cookies in your browser; blocking security cookies may affect access to the site.
If you email us
We receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. This is used to answer your request, provide support, and meet applicable obligations—not for mailing lists or advertising. Email is handled through our mail services. Correspondence is kept while needed for the request or an ongoing support relationship, and longer only where required for legal obligations or a dispute. Avoid sending sensitive information that is not needed for support.
Your privacy rights
Where a legal basis is required, delivering and securing the website relies on our legitimate interest in providing a safe service. Replying to correspondence relies on our legitimate interest in answering requests, or on steps connected with a contract where applicable. Records required by law are handled to meet that obligation.
Depending on the law applicable to you, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or information about personal data we handle, or object to processing. Contact support to make a request. You may also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner or your local data-protection authority. Provider-controlled data may require a request to the relevant provider.
Dawnarc on iPhone
Dawnarc works without accounts, advertising, analytics, tracking, or developer-operated servers.
Information stored on your device
The app stores your selected alarm time, armed state, visual style, motion choice, selected sound, sound-preview volume, tutorial completion, and morning-reflection preference locally. If you import a personal alarm sound from Files, Dawnarc converts and copies it into the app's private local storage. A short-lived local marker may be kept after a ringing alarm is stopped so a reflection can appear when the app becomes active. The developer does not receive this information. Deleting the app removes it, including imported sounds.
Apple system services
When you arm an alarm, Dawnarc uses Apple's AlarmKit and related system services to request permission, schedule and deliver the alarm, and present Lock Screen, Dynamic Island, and Live Activity controls. Apple processes these system interactions under its own privacy terms. Dawnarc does not receive your Apple Account credentials.
Collection, sharing, and tracking
Dawnarc does not collect personal data, send activity to the developer, sell or share information, or track you across apps and websites. It includes no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
Your choices
You can disarm an alarm, replace or remove an imported sound, turn morning reflections off, manage alarm permission in iOS Settings, or remove app-local information by deleting the app.
Children
The app does not knowingly collect information from children or anyone else.
Changes
We update this page when practices change. If Dawnarc's data practices change, its App Store privacy declaration will also be updated before release. Questions and privacy requests can be sent through Support.
